Drugs.com - General Question about carpal tunnel surgery June 8, 2009 at 10:23 pm I am going tomorrow for carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand... Then I am getting my left hand on the 23rd. My question is what kind of pain pills will I be prescribed and how many considering the surgeries are two weeks apart. I can't take off work because I have a 20 month old son and just cant afford it. I just dont want to have to be in pain every day. What do they prescribe for that and how many???? Generic alternatives June 8, 2009 at 3:04 pm I am taking Diovan HCT 160-25 mg. My insurance offers the alternative generics Enalapril/HCTZ & Lisinopril/HCTZ. What is the proper dosage of either or both of these alternatives. Did he overdose? June 7, 2009 at 10:10 pm my husband has been trying to quit oxycodone addiction for a while. Hes been tapering down but last nite he got frustrated decided to go cold turkey. To make sure he couldn't relapse he took all the pills he had left. Somewhere between 150 and 180 mgs. That was about 20 hrs ago. At first I was scared that he'd OD'd. (I wasn't home when he took the pills) but then he got better. Now he says he has a really bad headache and his pupils are dilated, he's warm almost hot to the touch and he says his urine is yellow. He's scared the headache means his brain is swelling. Is this possible? What is the likely hood he overdosed? When will I know he's out of danger? He doesn't want to go to the hospital he's afraid of them filing an offical report. Need ideas for 501(c)(3) medicines donations June 7, 2009 at 6:54 pm I volunteer for a not-for-profit medical organization based in the US -- we go to the Dominican Republic and work with a dr. there to treat the poorest of the poor, whose only medical contact is when we go there every year. We have been buying most of our meds and carrying them with us to the DR. we need things like insulin, high blood pressure meds, antibiotics etc -- we give them a year's worth of meds (which they actually take & do not seem to sell!). I am looking for ideas as to how I might get some of this donated. We can use generics, as well as name brand. Any ideas would be appreciated!
