Hello everybody, My name is Jason..

My questions relates to addiction and withdraw to endocet. I have been taking endocet 10/325 for a fractured sternum. At first it was legit then i continued taking them because, well we all know it made me feel really good. I have been taking them off and on for about two months..around 4 to 6 a day, but somtimes up to 8..Now here is my problem i am a single father, it is impossible to take anytime of of work because i work for comission and lets face it i need to make money and the company i work for just wont approve vacation during the summer months. I can not tell my doctor..I know i am addicted because i needed more and more to get the same feeling..I am very strong i spent a total of 3 years in Iraq in the military, so i know i can do this. I am going to go cold turkey with out taking time off work and basicly being by myself through the ordeal. Can anybody please give me any advice, what w/d sypmtoms should i expect, what can i do to give myself a better chance? I am mentaly strong and i am ready to have my life back! I ready to kick the pills..Thank you very much for any and all feedback.

cough medicine for dogs?
June 7, 2009 at 1:12 pm

My 16 year old terrier mix, Beavis, has had a cough for over a year. My vet says it is from his tonsils and recommends antibiotics and prednisone as needed. It doesn't help alot but does help some. He has had a chest x-ray and only has a small murmur, which isn't causing the cough. Also had his teeth cleaned within the past year. His cough is worse in the morning and with exertion ie barking. Being 16, he really doesn't exert himself much. But two questions: One, what else could his cough be from? Should I be worried? Also, I know there is a human cough medicine that would be safe for him, but I can't remember which one. Anyone know what I could give him to ease his coughing? Thanks in advance.

Blood thinners and bleeding and Quikclot use
June 7, 2009 at 11:07 am

Do any of you have a problem with bleeding issues due to blood thinner usage? My elderly mother is a heart patient who has to take Coumadin, and she has had blood blisters that develop on her arms and lower legs. They sometimes rupture and the bleeding is really bad. Even the emergency room doctors and nurses have had trouble getting the bleeding stopped. I read about Quikclot on another forum and ordered a package of it for her. It is a gauze that has something in it that clots the blood, even when there is a blood thinner in it. We keep Quikclot in her medicine cabinet now. Where those bleeds formerly resulted in an emergency room visit, we have been able to deal with them at home by putting the Quikclot gauze on the area, applying pressure and the bleeding stops in a few minutes. She has even suggested to her cardiologist that he keep some on hand and to recommend it to his patients!
