Drugs.com My Suboxone Experience-Just Talking June 10, 2009 at 5:46 pm Hi Everyone This is my first post here, wanted to share my Suboxone experience. I find that writing/sharing is therapeutic. Background: I entered an inpatient rehab/detox almost 18 months ago. I was addicted to Oxycontin/oxydodone, I was using about 320 mgs combined per day and going to the methadone clinic for the 10 days I was out every month. Luckily I had not adverse results from my addiction i.e. arrest, lost job... In rehab I was started on 24 mg of Suboxone. Then 16......For the past 3 months I have been on 2 mg but tapered down to 1 mg last week. I feel ok at 1 mg. I am very lucky, my insurance pays for my Suboxone visits and all but $30 of the perscription. During my March doc visit to get my Suboxone, my doc asked me what my dose was and I responded 2. He wrote me 60-2 per day when I was taking 2 mg per day, not 2 8mg tablets. Anyway, I had way enough meds for several months. I did not see my doc in April or May but went last week to just check in with him and let him know how great I was doing. His office said I would have to pay $300 for each visit I did not come. I was pissed. I make a very nice living and the money is not an issue but I was outraged that they wanted to charge me. So, I am at 1 mg and doing well. I have 32 8mg tablets left which will last almost a year. However, I want to be done with the drug ball and chain. Last fall, I tried to jump off from 4 mg and got very sick and had to go back on. Here is my plan: Continue on 1 mg for one month. .50 mg for one month .25 mg for one month .25 mg every 3 days for one month Jump Does that sound reasonable? Also, can anyone comment on imodium helping with wd's because it is an opiate in terms of chemical structure? Thanks for listening. I admire everyone out there fighting to get off of subs and also admire people staying on subs to help stay clean. One is id WPI 839 and works GREAT! The other, latest fill, is id E415 and does absolutly NOTHING for me??? Anyone else experience anything like this with "same drug, different manufacturer"? I received both orders from my local VA. Called them to let them know, and they said they would 'note' the information. 215mg Oxycodone Per Day. Addicted or needed? 3 Herniated disks, any other options? June 10, 2009 at 5:40 am I have 3 herniated disks in my back. I am on disabilities right now. There is a major difference between the pain before I take my pills in the morning and 30 minutes after I take my pills in the morning. When I wake up it hurts to walk, every morning. After awhile once a dose of 60-80mg of oxycodone depending on my pain level my pain goes away. Not only does the pain go away but I seem to have sort of a mental calm down when I take the pills. But I am 100% sure they help. My doctor had me sign a drug contract agreeing to certain stipulations of receiving my prescription. I only go to one doctor for my pain meds, and my cortisone shots are done thru a separate doctor. I have tried physical therapy and the cortisone shots and nothing seems to give me a long term relief. In fact physical therapy practically disabled me to the point to where I was completely useless even after my pills (then the doctor raised my dosage) I am not sure if I am addicted or not. I depend on these to live from day to day and thats addiction in my eyes but if I did not have them I would be in a ton of pain all the time. I have had the MRI's and this that and the other thing and I truly have a very bad back. Does anyone have suggestions on what to try next? I feel desperate for a real resolution to my back problems, I feel like I could give up the pills the day my back doesn't hurt like it does. ultram June 10, 2009 at 3:00 am i just took 350mg of ultram tonight because im coming off of xanax and lorcet plus. do you think its smart to do this to keep from withdrawling for the lorcet and xanax? if so how long should i do it and how much should i take before i start to weem myself off the ultram. i also have trazodone 150mg, lunesta 3mg, and cyclobenzaprine HCI 10mg. is any of this safe for me to take at night for sleep if i take the ultrams in the morning to keep the withdrawls away? what is the best dosage of ultram for me. i have a very high tolerance.   This email was sent to skripayura.drugsnews@blogger.com.  Create Your Account Don't want to receive this feed any longer?
